ANNUAL HOUSTON ASDA VENDOR FAIR JANUARY 2018

Thank you for your interest in participating in the Annual Houston ASDA Vendor Fair. We are excited to have you! The Vendor Fair will be held in January 2018. Below you will find the necessary information to register and select a sponsorship level. The registration process will open late Fall 2017. It is highly recommended that you review the FAQ at the bottom of this page before beginning the registration process. If you have any questions regarding the Vendor Fair, please contact our Events Coordinator Chair, Mariangela Arata (mariangela.b.arata@uth.tmc.edu).

As an organization centered around our students, UTSD Houston ASDA is committed to educating our members, serving the community, and supporting all aspects of organized dentistry. Part of our mission to educate members is to send a large number of students to national meetings such as ASDA Annual Session, National Leadership Conference, district meetings, and more. All contributions from our biggest fundraiser, the Vendor Fair, directly support this cause and our community service events.

Last year, UTSD Houston ASDA saw a record-breaking amount of 44 vendors attend the Vendor Fair. These included 8 platinum sponsors, 12 gold sponsors, and 21 base sponsors. Additionally, a combined total of $31,750 was raised from the support of our vendors, making this the highest amount of money ever raised at a Houston ASDA Vendor Fair. This would not have been possible without our generous sponsors! We thank all of those that attended last year and those that continue to attend from year to year. We truly appreciate your continued interest in our school and students.

Platinum Sponsorship : $1050

  • First Priority Seating.
  • Includes advertisement on beverages - your company's name will appear on the beverage cups used/given away to all students at the Vendor Fair (students are encouraged to take these home)
  • All Advertisements (e-mails, Facebook and Instagram, and TV monitors) seen by students and faculty will list Platinum sponsors leading up to the Vendor Fair
  • Will be listed on our website for an entire calendar year.
  • Will be recognized as Platinum sponsor on map of Vendor Fair on the day of the event.
  • Company description featured on student handout distributed at the Vendor Fair

Gold Sponsorship : $850  

  • Second Priority Seating
  • All advertisements (e-mails, Facebook and Instagram, and TV monitors) seen by students and faculty will list Gold sponsors leading up to the Vendor Fair
  • Will be listed on our website for an entire calendar year.
  • Will be recognized as Gold sponsor on map of Vendor Fair on the day of the event.
  • Company description featured on student handout distributed at the Vendor Fair 

Silver Level :  $650

  • ASDA will assign you a table in the order that you register

FAQ

Where is the Vendor Fair?

  • The Vendor Fair will be at the Cooley Conference Center adjacent to the University of Texas School of Dentistry.
 

Who is invited to the Vendor Fair?

  • All dental pre-doctoral classes (1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th years), hygiene classes (1st & 2nd), specialty departments, and faculty members in the dental school are invited to the Vendor Fair. Furthermore, members of the Greater Houston Dental Society are also invited.

What time is the Vendor Fair?

  • January 12th, 2017 from 4:30-7:00pm. Most D3 and D4 students will be arriving at 4:30pm while most D1 and D2 students will be arriving by 5pm.

What time can the Vendors start setting up?

  • The vendors may start setting up at 3:45 pm. 

Where should I park?

  • Each company will be given one parking validation pass to park across the street from the school (please see map). When you park, keep the ticket that the machine gives you as you enter the parking lot. When you arrive to the Vendor Fair, you will receive a the validation pass and instructions on how to use it.

Can I drop my stuff off at the Vendor Fair before I park?

  • There is a circle drive adjacent to the Cooley Center that you may pull up to in order to drop your stuff off before you park. Come through the doors by the circle drive, sign in with the ASDA officers at the check-in table, and then you can set your stuff at your assigned table before parking. 

What is a typical raffle/door prize item?

  • There is a wide variety of items given at the raffle, ranging from intraoral cameras or iPads to restaurant gift cards. The company name will be announced with the raffle item before it is given away to a student.

Where should I send any packages for the Vendor Fair?

  • If you send any packages to the school, it is imperative that you e-mail Rasha Shammas, one of our Events Committee members, at Rasha.Shammas@uth.tmc.edu . Please include the estimated time of arrival and the amount of packages that you are sending. We want to ensure there are no mix-ups and all of your packages are accounted for prior to the event.

How could I pay with check?

  • To pay with check, please contact the Events Coordinator Chair (MariangelaArata - mariangela.b.arata@uth.tmc.edu) and tell her the level of sponsorship you would like to purchase for the Vendor Fair. Following that, you will send the check made out to "UTSD ASDA" to the address below. While we do accept checks, purchasing a sponsorship through our online store is preferred. Checks may be mailed to the ASDA Treasurer:
